By a Letter which Mr. Treasurer reced the Latter
end of last Month, he is informed, that Mr. Dodson
who has an Estate in Comberton, appeared to the Commissrs.
of the Land tax for Relief, for that the was over rated, Etc
desired to be rated in Proportion to the Estate your
Bros. Holster holds of this Hospitalthere was at the
same time an appeal from Mr. Wartham one of the
Commissr. upon which they took off from Mr. Dodson £5.
& from Mr. Wartham £2 10 and laid the wholes £7.10
in the Hospital Estate which Mr Treasurer thinks as are
unjustifiable method of proceeding as it is directly of
posite to an Act of Parliament passed in the Year 1693
in favour of the Hospitals whereby their Estates were
example from paying any Land tax except in the
Improved Rent which by no means is equal to what
the Commiss. now Assessyou are therefore desired to
inform your Bro. Holder that he is not to pay any more
Landtax than what he he he has done hitherto if any
ill consequence should arise from his Refusal he may
sell the Collectors that the Governors of this Hospital are
determin'd at all events to defind their Right & Preveledge
