Mr. Smith
The Grand Committee of Govr. of this Hospital have
taken Your Case in Consideration And are so very Angry at Your
Backwardness in paying your Rent which is now Two Years and a
Quarter behind that they will Certainly Seize your Stock Unless you
Immediately make a Large Bermitance, by which Increase at least
a Year and a halfe Rent I advice you out of friendship to Comply
herewith otherwise you will repeat too late

Yrs. of the 14th. has been laid before Mr. Treasurer who
has order'd me to write Yo. that the Accot. Yr. have sent of the Quit
Rents of the Mans. of Topeloffs shall be carefully examd. And if any
Mistake appears, to communicate it to Yo. I am likewise to
acquaint Yo. that Mr. Treasurer has inform'd the Grand Commee
of Yr. Intentr. to renew Yr. Lease And the Gent came to Resolutn.
that in Consideratn. of the Services Yo. have always been ready to do
the Hospll. they wd. renew Yr. Lease for 21 Yrs. at the Old Rent of
£4..10.. clear And a Fine of bal £40. instead of £60. As
I make no Doubt of Yr. Approbacn. of such as Proposal I wish
Yo. health to reach the Benefit of it Mr. Markby has this day
Pd. on Yr. Accot. for Quit rents £50..10..9 ½ And for Rent £4..10..
