1738

Mr. Knock
Mr. Treasurer has directed me to acquaint
you that Mr. Sankey writes to have some Timber for Repairs
without saying how much or where the Repairs are wanting
but if they appear necessary, you are desired to mark but what
is proper, & to send Mr. Treasurer an account what the
Repairs are and how much Timber you have allowed for
them, & likewise what you have done about Mr. Swaine's,
of which I wrote you the 3d inst.

Mr. Richardson
I recd: both your Letters & should have
prevented your last, by answering the first before this; but
I waited for the sense of the Gentn. of the Grand Comittee
they are of opinion it is by no means proper to in large the
number of our farms tho they are willing to do any common
services to their Tennants the doing this would lead them
into great inconveniencies

that he reced your Letter of the 21st inst. & desires you will take
a view of the Repairs wanting at Thos. Smiths< no role > Farmes & assign
him such Timber as you Judge necessary; but if you think it more
convenient Mr. Trear would have you take a Carpenter [..]
you. The Account of Underwood in you Letter is Posted into [..]
Hospl. Book & the several persons to whom sold it made Debter [..]
