The Governors of this Hospital having been inform'd that
their Estate a Bewick was in a very bad Condition did order a
person in that Countrey to View it and 'tis reported to them
that all the houses & buildings are extremely but of repair and
especially the Hall or Mansion House
of which a good part
is fallen & falling down. The Sea Bank is likewise
neglected so as the Sea wears away the Land.
This being the Circumstance of that Estate which is now
in the possession of Your Relation Mr. Sylvester to whom
our Gentleman know not how to direct I am ordered to
address this to you with a request of your Communicating
to Mr: Sylvester this information concerning that affair
and that they hope he will forthwith put the estate into
repair according to the Covenants in the Lease under which
he holds You will forgive this trouble upon the reason
above mentioned and believe me
