MIDDLESEX


AT the GeneralSession of the Peace
of our Lord the King, holden in and for the
County of Middlesex , at the Session-House for the said
County ()on Monday
the Eighteenth Day of February
in the thirty ninth Year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the Third, King of Great
Britain, Etc, Before William Mainwaring< no role > , William
Bleamire
< no role > John Bond< no role > , James Stratten< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said
Lord the King, assigned to keep the Peace in the County
aforesaid ; and also to bear and determine divers
Felonies, Trespasses, and other Misdemeanours com-
mitted in the same County

WHEREAS the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Clement
Danes in the County of Middlesex Did at the last General Quarter Session of the Peace
held in and for this County Exhibit their petition and Appeal setting forth That by
virtue of an Order or Pass Warrant under the Hands and Seals of John Scott< no role > and
P Neve Esquires two of His Majestys Justices of the Peace in and for the said County
one where of being of the quorum)bearing date the 20th day of December 1798.
Elizabeth Christopher< no role > and her female Child Martha < no role > aged One Year and Ten
Months Wife of John Christopher< no role > then absent from her were removed and conveyed
from and out of the Parish of Saint Giles in the fields in the County of Middlesex
to the said Parish of Saint Clement Danes as the Place of their last legal settlement
whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves aggrieved : which said Appeal stood duly
adjourned until this day

NOW upon hearing the said Appeal, and hath been alledged by the respective
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parishes, their Counsel and Witnesses in
and concerning the Premises, IT IS ORDERED that the said Appeal be and the same is
hereby allowed and the said Order of the said two Justices is hereby vacated and set aside;
and IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of Saint Clement Danes do forthwith convey and
deliver back the said Elizabeth Christopher and her said Child
(together with a Copy of this Order) unto the Church wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of Saint Giles in the fields who are hereby required to
receive and provide for the said Elizabeth Christopher and her said Child
until they can free themselves from the Charge thereof by due course of Law
