that he resided with her for the present, till he had an opportunity
of suiting himself better in some other PlaceThat he was
discharged about 3 Months agoThat a great many of
the Account, had been sold; and several of themfurther
had been bought for the purpose of being sent into the County
That she had been sevl. times to see her Son during the time he
was in Confinement & had taken Victuals with her for him
but that it was impossible ever to convey ill him, that she
was always detected, and had been told that if she list any
again that she wod. herself [..] detainedThat she great out
came of Complaint of Persons in the Prison was, that their
friends were not permitted to carry them any Provisions, wit
she as well as this thot was extremely hand treatment:
That she cod. not find fault with the persons at the Gaol
on that Acct. as she understood it was a general Regulation
& that they had reced Orders not to suffer any to be carried into
the prisonbut that the Persons in confinemt were somewhat
betteroff now than this had before beenThat Deglasse
had written a Book called the Secrets of the Bastile & that
the believed her Son intended to write an answer to it:
On my going away she sd. she wd. go down Stairs with me and shew me
the Way out by the private door, which she did, adding that I
might come in by the same way, at any future time, in case I
shod. wish to purchase any more, without troubling the people of the
House, who had either given her notice, or desired two to quit the
premises an Account of this Publication:
