The humble Petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Wanstead
in the County of Essex

Sheweth

That by virtue of a Warrant or Order under the
Hands and Seals of John Staples< no role > and Geo. Story< no role > Esquires ,
Two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace acting in and
for the said County of Middlesex one being of the Quorum
bearing Date the Twentieth Day of October One Thousand
Seven Hundred and Ninety Six, Maria Bruce< no role > , the Widow
of John Bruce< no role > lately deceased, and her Three Children
lawful Issue, Vizt. Richard< no role > , Joseph< no role > ,and Sarah< no role > , were removed
from the Hamlet of Ratcliffe , in the Parish of Saint Dunstant
Stepney , in the County of Middlesex , to the said Parish of
Wanstead , in the County of Essex ,as the place of their last
legal Settlement,

Your Petitioners conceiving themselves
aggrieved by the said Warrant or Order
do humbly Appeal against the same
