To the Church-Warden and Overseers of the Poor of the Hamlet of
RATCLIFFE ,in the Parish of St. Dunstan , Stepney, in the
County of Middlesex ,and to the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the Parish of Wanstead , in the
County of Essex

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto Us, two of
His Majesty's Justices of the Peace acting in and for the
County of Middlesex aforesaid ( one whereof being of the Quorum)
by the Church-Warden and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Hamlet of Ratcliffe , That Maria Bruce< no role > , the Widow
of John Bruce< no role > lately deceased and her Three
Children Lawful Issue vizt Richard, Joseph
and Sarah
lately intruded, and came into the
said hamlet of Ratcliffe , and are
become chargeable to the same:We, the said Justices, upon
Examination of the Premises upon Oath,and other Circumstances, do
adjudge the same to be true,and do also adjudge the Place of the
last legal Settlement of the said Maria Bruce< no role > and her said
Street Children, viz Richard< no role > , aged fourteen Years
Joseph< no role > aged Twelve Years, and Sarah< no role > aged about
Four Years an a Quarter is in the PArish of
Wanstead in the County of Essex

THESE are therefore in His Majesty's Name to require you,
the said Church-Warden and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Hamlet of Ratcliffe , On Sight hereof to remove and convey the
said. Maria Bruce< no role > and her said Three Children
viz Richard< no role > , Joseph and Sarah< no role >
from and out your Hamlet of Ratcliffe to the said Parish of
Wanstead in the County of Essex aforesaid

and them deliver unto the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there,or to some or one of them, together with this
our Order, or a true Copy hereof, who are hereby required to
receive and provide for them according to law. Civen under
our Hands and Seals this 20th Day of October 1796.
