against her Husband for Ill usage}

Mrs. Casson his the Daughter of William Powell< no role > Esquire of Radnorshire
who is Steward to the Earl of Oxford and who is worth at least £10,000.

As she had two Sisters in Town, and an Opportunity offered at paddington
the took a Grocers Shop, and one of her Sisters lived with her

Her Husband prior to his Marriage was a Porter in the Shop that Served her
in the Wholesale way and she was indiscreet enough to Marry him

The first thing he did after Marriage was to turn away her Sister

Her Father when he heard of the Match was very Angry, and refused to
Advance her any more Money

On which the Husband went down into the Country to her Father who
gave him some Money to get did of him

Her Husband is Continually Plaguing her to Write to her Father for Money
and because he will send none he beats her and behaves in a most infamous
manner to her, takes up a Poker and threatens to kill her with it & that frequently

He will not suffer her to have any butter in the House and obliges her to
cat Dry Bread for 3 or 4 weeks together

He has by Constantly beating her about the Head made her (from being a bright
active Young Woman) quite Stuped.

If he would Consent to Articles of Separation we want nothing from him
and he may keep every thing he has (on payment of Costs) for she cannot think of
living with him again.
