To the Worshipful His Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex
in general Sessions of the Peace for the said County Assembled.

The Humble Petition and Appeal of Matthew
Baynes
< no role > of the Parish of Saint Paul Covent Garden
in the County of Middlesex

Sheweth


That by virtue of an Order under the hand
and Seal of William Addington< no role > Esquire one of his Majestys
Justices of the Peace acting in and for the County of Middlesex
bearing date on or about the thirtieth Day of January last
whereby your Petitioner was adjudged and ordered to pay
the Sum of Five Pounds for Knowingly harbouring and
Assisting one James Gorton< no role > a Supposed deserter Pursuant
to the Act of Parliament for that purpose by which said
Order Your Petitioner conceives himself to be aggrieved

Your Petitioner therefore humbly
Appeals to this Court against the Adjudication
of the said Justice and his said Order and
Prays that Your Worships will be Pleased
to appoint a Day to hear and Determine
the said Appeal

And Your Petitioner will ever pray Etc.
