Whereas Sarah Short< no role > in her Examination taking in Writing
and upon Oath before one of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in
and for the said County of Middlesex on the 19th. day of October
last did declare that she was delivered of a Male Bastard Child
born of her Body in the Month of June 1783 in the House No 3 in
appear Adam Street in the Parish of Saint Mary Le Bone in the
County of Middlesex Baptized John< no role > and further that Jenkin Davis< no role >
of No 77 Ogle Street in the said Parish of Saint Mary Le Bone Coach
Painter was the real and true Father of the said Child And Whereas
the said Jenkin Davis did in consequence thereof enter into
Recognizance with Sufficient Sureties to Abide and perform such
Order as should be made in pursuance of an Act of the 18th. year
of the Reign of her late Majesty's Queen Elizabeth These are to
Certify his Majesty's Justices of the Peace at their General Quarter
Sessions of the Peace for this County that the said Jenkin David
hath Clearly Indernified and exonerated the said Parish of St.
Mary Le Bone for and on Account of all and all manner of Expences
which have been incurred by reason of the Maintenance and lying
in of the said Sarah Street and all other Expences Relative thereto
And we do hereby request that your Worships would permit
and give leave to the said Jenkin Davis to With draw and
discharge the Recognizance by him entered into in manner
above mentioned
