on the Prosn. of Jeremiah Hart< no role > for Felony

Peter Conway< no role > of White Chapel High Street in the County of Middlesex Collar
maker Maketh Oath and Saith that by a recognizance taken before
John Staples< no role > and Samuel Hawkins< no role > Esquires two of His Majesty's Justices
of the peace for the County of Middlesex [..] on or about
the ninth day of March last he this Deponent was Bound to Appear
at the General Quarter Session of the peace holden in and for this
County in the Month of April last to give Evidence against
John Small< no role > for Stealing a Har [..] Crapper and Breeching the
property of Jeremiah Hart< no role > This Deponent saith that not
being acquainted with the mode of Prosecuting felons &
the Prosecutor neglecting to let him know when he went
to prefer the Indictment this Deponent by reason thereof
was not present nor did he see the prosecutor until
Saturday in the said Session Week when said Prosecutor
Informed this Deponent that the Bill was [..] thrown
out and that he this Deponent had no Occasion to trouble
himself further in the Businessthis Deponent also saith
that instead of attending this Court he by mistake was
attending at the Old Baily in expectation of being called
And this Deponent lastly saith that it was not from any
fear favor or Affection for the prisoner or for any Benefit
reward or advantage or the hopes or expectation of any Benefit
reward or advantage had or to be had from him or from any
person or persons on his account that he this Deponent
neglected to attend this Court to give proper evidence in this
prosecution but only from the Causes aforesaid
