Mark Pinero< no role > of Newman Street in the County of
Middlesex Gentleman the Attorney for the Appellant above named Maketh
Oath and saith that the said Thomas West< no role > was convicted before William
Hyde
< no role > Esquire one of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace in the Penalty of
Ten Pounds, on the second day of March last past for letting out on the
fourteenth day of February last past Two Horses to hire to Travel Post
and did in the Stamp Office ticket fill up a less Number of Miles than
the number of Miles Charged to the Traveller, And this Deponent saith
that the said Thomas West< no role > was again Convicted before the said William
Hyde
< no role > Esqr. on the Twenty seventh day of the said Month of March in
another penalty of Ten pounds for a like offence alledged to be committed
by the said Thomas West< no role > on the Seventeenth day of February last past
And this Deponent saith that the said Thomas West< no role > thinking himself
aggrieved by such two several Convictions, (as he informed Deponent)
did enter into two several Recognizances with a Sureity to appeal from
such Conviction according to the direction of an Act of Parliament passed
in the Twenty fifth Year of the Reign of his present Majesty (Chapter 51)
and on which act of Parliament the said Thomas West< no role > was Convicted
do aforesaid, And this Deponent Saith that he did this day search at
the Office of the Clerk of the Peace for the said County of Middlesex
whether any Convictions, have been returned for the said Offences, but
there appears upon such Search that no Convictions have returned
for the said Offences as aforesaid against the said Thomas West< no role > And
this Deponent further Saith, that he has been informed by the
Solicitor concerned for the Informant in the above Matters, that he
