At a Six Weeks meeting held b Adjournment the 23 [..]
the 9th. Month 1783

This Meeting having taken into Consideration the
Resolutions of the Justices of Middlesex respecting the purchase of the
School & Workhouse at Clerkenwell appoints the following friends or
any two of them to meet the Committee of Justices and complete the
Agreement on the Terms of our proposal Vizt Jacob Hagen< no role > ,Danl
Mildred, Henry Sterry, Steny, Richard Chester< no role > , Joseph Woods< no role >

Whereupon it was proposed to Messrs. Hagen, Mildred, Story
Chester and Woods that the Purchase money should be paid by the
following Instalments vizt. £400. on having possession of the Garden
Ground £400. more in Six Months after such possession and £800
the Remainder of the purchase Money on having possession of the
Remaining part of the presuing and the [..] sead proposal being [..]
to; An agreement between the Quaters and one Edward Hartwright< no role >
was produced by which it appeared that he was Intitled to a Years
notice to quit the Premises, and the said Edward Hartwright< no role > attending
Your Committee & being asked upon what terms he would Sooner
quit the Said Garden Ground he demanded £100. for quitting it
at lady day next, whereupon your Committee proposed to the
said Edward Hartwright< no role > as follows vizt. to give him £50. to quit
the said premises at Christmas next and £30. to quit at Lady
day next but if he would not agree to either of those Terms then
that no Compensation whatever should be give to th said Edward
Hartwright
< no role > and the said Edward Hartwright< no role > having desired heir
to Consider the said Proposals Messrs. Hagen Mildred Sterry
Chester and Woods undertook to give immediate notice to the said
Edward Hartwright< no role > to quit the Premises at Christmas 1784

All which th Committee Submit Etc.
