Samuel Lessey< no role > of the parish
of Saint Andrew Holborn in the County of
Middlesex Builder maketh Oath that
he is informed the Court have fined him
forty shillings for not Answering his call
on the Grand jury for the said County
Saith that this Deponent is now repairing
the Back part of a House on Saffron Hill
and the same being so Dangerous that the
Workmen could not proceed to the repair of
the same he this Deponent by reason
thereof was oblidged to Attend at the said
House in Order to give Directions and
Assist in Putting up a Shore for the safety
of the House and the Workmen repairing
the same also saith that the above is the
Cause of his not Attending in time therefore
humbly prays the Court to take of the said
Time as he is now ready to attend his Duty.
