WHEREAS Complaint has been made has been made unto us, two
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for
the County of Middlesex (one whereof being of the
Quorum), by the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish of Saint Giles in the Fields in the said
County, That Sarah Hawthorne< no role > Singlewoman
aged about Twenty five years is
lately come into the said Parish, endeavouring to settle
there, contrary to Law. And it appeareth unto us the
said Justices, and we do adjudge that She is likely
to become chargeable to the said Parish; and upon Exa-
mination of the Premises taken upon Oath, and other Cir-
cumstances, it further appeareth unto us, and we do like-
wise adjudge, that the Parish of Saint Luke in
the said County
is the Place of the lase legal
Settlement of the said Sarah Hawthorne< no role >

is the Place of the last legal Settlement of the Said Sarah
Chambers< no role > and her said Daughter

These are therefore in His Majesty's Name to Charge and
Command the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Said Parish of Saint Giles in the Fields forthwith
to remove and convey the said Sarah Hawthorne< no role > and her
male Child named Thomas< no role > aged about Three weeks
for Nurture
from the said Parish of Saint Giles in the Fields to the
said Parish of Saint Luke
and deliver them to the Church-wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, who are
hereby required to provide for them according to Law.
Given under our Hands and Seals the 11th Day
of January- 17 75

To the Church-Wardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the respective Parishes of
Saint Giles in the Fields in the County of
Middlesex , and Saint Luke in the
Said County
