To the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Hanwell in the
said County and to the Church Wardens and Over-
seers of the Poorof the Parish of the Precinet of
Norwood in the County of Middlesex
aforesaid and to each and every of them.

UPON the Complaint of the Church Wardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the Parish of Hanwell aforesaid
in the said County of Middlesex unto us whose Names
are hereunto set and Seals affixed, being two of his Majesty's Justices of
the Peace in and for the said County of Middlesex
and one of us of the Quorum, that John Lott< no role > . his wife Ann< no role > and their four
Children one named Sarah< no role > aged about Ten years another
named Mary< no role > aged about Seven year's Another named Elizabeth< no role >
aged about four years, and the other named Richard< no role >
aged about five Weeks
ha ve come to inhabit in the said Parish of Hanwell
not having gained a legal Settlement there, nor
Produced any Certificate owning themselves to be Settled else-
where, and that the said John Lott< no role > and Ann his wife and their four
Children Sarah, Mary Elizabeth and Richard are
become chargeable to the said
Parish of Hanwell We the said
Justices upon due Proof made hereof, as well upon the Examination of
the said John Lott< no role > upon Oath,
as otherwise, and likewise upon due Consideration had of the Premises,
do adjudge the same to be true; and we do likewise adjudge, that the
lawful Settlement of them the said John Lott< no role > and Ann his wife
and their sd. four Children is in the said Presinct of Norwood
in the said County of Middlesex

We do therefore in his Majesty's Name
require and authorize you the said Church Wardens and Overseers of the
Poor of the said Parish of Hanwell of some, or one
of you, to convey the said John Lott< no role > Ann his wife and their sd.
four Children
from and out of your said Parish of Hanwell
to the said Precinct of Norwood and them
to deliver to the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or
to some, or one of them, together with this our Order, or a true Copy
thereof: And we do also hereby require you the said Church Wardens
to receive and provide for them the said John Lott< no role > and Ann his Wife
and their sd. four Childrens as Inhabitant s of your said precinct
Given under our
Hands and Seals the 23d. Day of August in the Year of
our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy four
