To the Worshipfull his Majesty's Justices of the peace
for the County of Middlesex in their adjourned Sessions of the
Peace Assembled

The Humble Petition and Appeal of the
Churchwardens and Overseers of thePrecinct
of Norwood in the said County of Middlesex

Sheweth


That by a Pass Warrant or Order under the Hands and Seals
of James Clitherow< no role > and Paul Naillant< no role > Esquires two of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace for the said County of Middlesex (one whereof
being of the Quorum) bearing date the twenty third day of August
in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred & Seventy four
John Lott< no role > his Wife Ann< no role > and their four Children one named Sarah< no role >
aged about Ten Years another named Mary< no role > aged about Seven years
another named Elizabeth< no role > aged about four years and the other named
Richard< no role > aged about five weeks were removed from the Parish of
Hanwell in the said County of Middlesex to the said Precinct of
Norwood in the said County as the place of their last legal
Settlement whereby your Petitioners think themselves aggrieved
and Appeal to this Court against the same

Your Petitioners Therefore pray this Court
will appoint a day in this Session for the
Hearing and Determining of the said
Appeal and that all parties concerned may
then Attend
