At the General Session of the Peace of our Lord the King holden
for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street
in the said County (by adjournment) on Thursday the Tenth day
of December in the Eighth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign
Lord George the Third King of Great Britain Etc. Before John Hawking< no role >
Benjamin Cowley< no role > John Etc Bartholomew Hammond< no role > Esquire and
others their fellows Justices of our said Lord the King Assigned to
keep the Peace in the County aforesaid and also to hear and determine
divers felonies Trespasses and other Misdemeanours committed in
the same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
Maryle bone otherwise Marybone in this County have at this Present
session Exhibited their Petition and Appeal Setting forth That by Virtue of a
Pass Warrant or Order under the hand and Seal of Stephen Clurke< no role > Esquire
one of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the said County bearing date the
third day of December 1767 Hannah Bradburn< no role > a Child aged about Eight
Years was removed from and out of the Parish of Saint Giles in the fields in
the said County of Middlesex to the said Parish of Saint Mary le bone as
the place of her last legal settlement Whereby the Petitioners conceive
themselves Aggrieved now upon hearing what hath been alledged by the
Churchwardens and Oversseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Mary le
bone the Appellants and their Council in the presence and hearing of the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Saint Giles the
Respondents and their Council this Court doth Quash and Vacate the said
pass Warrant or Order of Removal And the same is hereby Quashed and
Vacated accordingly And it is Ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Mary le bone or some or one of them
do forthwith Convey and deliver back the said poor Child (together with a
Copy of this Order) unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of Saint Giles or to some or one of them who are hereby
required to receive and provide for her untill they can free themselves form
the Charge thereof by due Course of Law
