immediately Dressed, buton Mr. Cowell a Surgeons coming
in, the Dressings were removed and the Wound Examined
afresh, every necessary Step was taken for his Recovery, by
Dr. Brooke, Mr. Cowell, Mr. Connor and Deponent until the
Death of the Deced which Deponent was informed husband yesterday
Morning about Seven O' Clock, Says that since the Body
was Viewed this Afternoon by the Sury,Deponent with
Mr. Conner, in the presence of Deponent and the other
Gentlemen of the Prosession abovementioned opened the
Body and trased the Course of the Ball which had made
its way into the Cavity of the Belly, and made itselfe Bad
in. the back bone, which was the immediate Cause of
the Deced's Death. Deponent says that Deced informed
him that he believed his Antogonistand himself fired
at the same Instant, and thought it the greatest piece of
Providence that, he the Deced missed him, as they were, not above
Six Yards as under. Deponent says that Deced informed
him that he had drank hard for some Days last past.
