Deponent to come to Mr. Hillthe decedwho was Wounded
says that he came unto Johnsons Court near Char [..] Goss salo Mr.
Hill brought in there in a Chair, says that he helped
Mr. Hill the Deced up Stairs into his own Appartment
says that when Deced was Strept, Deponent found a
Wound [..] little above his right Hip, and on Examining
the Wound Deponent thought it Dangerous, says that he
acquainted Deced therewith, who thereupon desired
Deponent to Send for the most Skilfull Surgeons and he
Sent for Mr. Bromfields Says that Mr. Bromfield a Surgeon
soon after came, and some time after Mr. Cowell [..] Surgeon
likewise came, Says that the deced was then Sensible
and that he told Deponent that Mr. Gardner was very
brave, but did not tell Deponent that Mr. Gardner had
given him the Wound to the best of Deponent's recollection,
Says that Deced [..] died there yesterday Morning about
Seven O' Clock, and Deponent believes that his Death
was occasioned by the Wound, Deponent says that
about four Hours before the Deced died, He being Sansible,
Deponent took an Opportunity to talk to him, when
Deced again said that Mr. Gardner behaved very brave
and hoped that he would not be Prosecuted Deponent
Says that he has known the Deced and Mr. Gardner about
eight Months, and never heard of any Quarrel between
them before that Day.

William Bromfield< no role > of Conduit Street Surgeon on his
Oath saith, that a Person who said he was Servant to
Mr. Hill came to Deponents House on Wednesday Evening about six O Clock desiring Deponents
immediate Attendance on his Master Says that he went
with the Servant into Johnson's Court near Charitable and there found
Mr. Hill (the Deced) in Bed who desired Deponent's
Assistance on Account of a Wound, in his side by a
Pistol Shat, which he was informed had Penetrated into
the Belly, Deponent then asked Deced if he had has any
Assistance from any other Person, to which Deced answerd
he had. been Examined by Mr. Connor a Surgeon who desired
some other Person of the Profession might be called in, Mr.
Connor being absent, Deponent wailed until his return,
Says, that Rept: and Mr. Connor, upon his return, Examined
the Wound together, which was on the right side of the Belly
a little above the hipbone, near one Inch in lengths the
depth could could not then be determined, Says the Deced was
