to write it down, and to provide himself with a

soon after went out, leaving the Decod Mr. Thomas,
and Deponent in the Room, says that in about four
or five minutes after, the Deced and Mr. Thomas
followed, the Deced having Declared that said Mr. Thomas
was to be his Second; Deponent says that he want
from thence soon after to call upon Mr. Allen an Acquaintance
at Somerset House , and there met with Mr. Gardner,
says that Mr. Gardner again importuned him to go
with him to see that no foul play was offered, as the
Deced had a Second, Deponent says that he did agree
to go with Mr. Gardner so far as White Chapel in hopes
he might there bring about a reconcilation, and when
they got to the Innwhichthere, which the deced had
appointed, theyDavidfound that the Deced was not come,
upon which Deponent waited in a House adjoining to the Inn
and Mr. Gardner Stard at the Inn, Says that after waiting
about on hour there, he saw Mr. Thomas walking
in the Street before the said Inn, and going to him
Mr. Thomas informed Deponent that the Deced and Mr.
Gardner were gone together in a Post Chaise out of Town upon
which Deponent said, for God'sake let us follow, in
order to prevent further Mischief, says they both
