With her on the Twenty third instant next the Old Bailey
and that she was there Attending as this Deponent verily
beleives to give Evidence on the part of the said Owen Mc.
Carty And that she told this Deponent that the said
Owen Mc. Carty did Know where the other Defendants
was but that they would not be taken and they kept
themselves concealed untill the said Owen Mc. Carty< no role >
was tryed and that the other Defendants or one of them
had furnished the said Owen Mc. Carty with a Paper
writing which might be the means of Acquitting him
the said Owen Mc. Carty And in that lase it would be
out of the Power of this Deponent or her said Husband
to prosecuite the other Defendants, And that they would
then prosecute this Deponent and her said Husband
for such prosecution And this Deponent further saith
that her said Husband is in very low & necessitous
Circumstances and that she does verily beleive
it is a Contrivance between the Defendants in Order
to distress this Deponent and her said Husband and
for want of having the other Defendants she does not
in her Conscience beleive that her said Husband
will be able to prosecute the said Owen Carty as
otherwise he might do if the prisoners were to taken
their Tryall together And Lastly this Deponent saith
that her said Husband is in a very Bad state of
health and has been in the Country confined for
about three weeks last past
