At the General Session of the Peace of Our Sovereign
Lord the King holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall
in St. John Street in the said County by Adjournment On Thursday
the Seventeenth Day of September 1761. in the First Year of
the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord George the Third by the Grace
of God King of Great Britain Etc. Before Thomas Lane< no role > Francis
Bedwell
< no role > Paul Vaillant< no role > Theodore Sydenham< no role > Esquires and Others
their Fellows Justices of Our said Lord the King Assigned to keep
the Peace of Our said Lord the King in the County aforesaid and also to
hear and determine divers Felonies Trespasses & other Misdemeanr.
Committed in the same County.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
St: Ann within the Liberty of Westminster in the County aforesaid
exhibited their Petition and Appeal to the Court at this present
Session upon Tuesday last (which Session was begun and holden
On Monday last) Setting Forth that by Virtue of a Warrant or
Order of Removal under the Hands and Seals of Theodore
Sydenham
< no role > and Benjamin Cox< no role > Esqrs. two of his Majestys Justices
of the Peace for the City and Liberty of Westmr. (one whereof
being of the Quorum) bearing date the Twenty Eighth Day
of August last Mary a Female bastard Child born of the body
of Ann Owen< no role > Singlewoman was removed from the Parish
of St. James within the Liberty of Westmr. in the said County
to the said Parish of St. Ann as the Place of the last legal
Settlement of the said Child Whereby the Petitioners conceived
themselves to be Aggrieved Which Appeal was duly Adjournd.
to this Day Now upon hearing of what hath been Alledged
on either side as well by the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the said Parish of St. James as by the sd. Appellants
and their respective council and Witnesses concerning the
