in Saint John
Street
in the County aforesaid (by adjournment) On Thursday
the fourth Day of December 1760 in the
first Year of the Reign of King George
the 3d.
It is Ordered that Mr John Higgs< no role >
Treasurer
of this County do
pay to John Steele< no role >
Seven Pounds eight Shillings and eight penny for
Smith's Work by him performed for this County at New Prison
Clerkenwell
And like wise Sixteen Pounds two Shillings and eleven
pence for such Business at Clerkenwell Bridewell
(which together
make the Sum of Twenty three Pounds eleven Shillings the Amount
of his two several Bills delivered into this Court and inspected and
examined by His Majesty's Justices here present) And that the
Receipt of the said John Steel< no role >
together with this Order shall be a
sufficient Discharge to the said Treasurer for such Payment
