Oliver Mc.Allester< no role > the Defendant in this Cause Maketh Oath and
Saith that in September Sessions was twelve Months this Deponents
was Tryed in this Honourable Court on an Indictment for a pretended felony
for Stealing two Bushell of peas in the Houlms and Nine Old posts on
the prosecution of William Bucknall< no role > Commonly Called Doctor Bucknall
of Brumpton in the County of Middlesex who keeps a Madhouse there
one Stephen Scott< no role > a Common Constable Mathias Chambers< no role > his follower,
and Edward Staunton< no role > a day Labourer which said Scott and Chambers
Depont. has never seen or had they ever seen Depont. to the knowledge
or belief till they came to take this Depont. tho' they were both Witnesses
upon the back of the Bill of Indictment found against this Deponent
for the said pretended felony some weeks before they came to take him as
aforesaid And that it Appearing to the Court upon the sd Tryal that the sd.
prosecuonr as this Deponent Apprehends was false and Malicious this
Deponent was Acquitted thereof and the Court was thereupon pleased to
Order this Depont. a Copy of the said Indictment on which Indictments
and Tryal as well as on the Indictment and proceedings in this Cause one
Matthew Rowe< no role > a prosecutor on the Indictment in this Cause Appeared &
Acted as Sollr. for the sd. Bucknall and his Accomplices And this Depont.
Saith that previous to the said Tryal the said Bucknall Rowe and their
Accomplices as this Deponent believes and doubts not but that he shall be
amongst other things able fully and Cleanly to prove unlawfully and
forcibly Enter'd into this Deponents dwelling House at Brumpton afod.
and turn'd this Deponents Servant and Children who are young and
helpless [..] thereout without the Common necessarys of Life leaving
them to perish And Deponent being so dispossessed by the said Bucknall
Rowe and their Accomplices and said Bucknall having as Depot. believes Locked up the
House possessed himself thereof and Also of Deponents Effects therein
and has detained the same ever since And this Deponent further Saith
that the said Bucknall and Rowe [..] One of them a few days before Deponts said Tryal
Apprehending they shod. fail in said prosecucon as Deponent believes
Prevailed on one George Sweatman< no role > as this Depont. is Informed & believes
he Can or will to able to prove falsly to Charge this Depont. with forging the Will of
one James Rathery< no role > late a Marine in the Regiment of Marines late under
