At the Generall Session of Oyer and Terminer of our Sovereigne
Lord the King holden for the County of Middx at Hicks Hall in John
Street in the said County by Adjornment on Saturday the thirteenth
day of September in the ninth year of the Reign of our Sovereigne
Lord George the Second of Great Britain France and Ireland King
Defender of the Faith

Assault upon One Sarah Philpott< no role > Sur with Intent [..] ly to
Ravish and Carnally know her agst her will is fined for the [..]
Offence Twenty Pounds & he is Committed to his Majesties Goal of
Newgate there to remain for the Space of Six Months and he is
ordered to find Sufficient Sureties before John Martin< no role > and Anthony
Chamberlain
< no role > Esqrs . or any one of them (to whom or any one of them
it is referred to take such Sureties) for his Goa behaviour for
the Space of One Year to Commence from the Expiration of the
said Six Months To Remain untill he Pay the said Fine and find,
Such Sureties then to be Delivered Paying his Fees 0..10..4

Guilty of any such Crime is fined for the said Offence 0..1..0 which is
ordered to be Estreated and he is to be Delivered out of Newgate aforesaid
and is Committed to the house of Correction at Clerkenwell in this
County there to be kept to hard Labour for the Space of One year And he
is to be Set in and upon the Pillory two Severall Days Sus has the
Sherriffe of this County Shall forthwith Appoint for the Space of one
hour on Each Day between the hours of Twelve of the Clock at Noon
and Two of the Clock in the afternoon on Each at the said Days with an
Inscription in Paper to be put upon the Breast of the said James
