Whereas Samuel Rayson< no role > of the parish of St. James
Clerkenwell in this County Gent exhibited his humble
peticon & appeale unto the Court of the last General
Quarter Sessions of the peace holden for the said
County by adjornment on Monday the nineteenth
day of October last setting forth that the Petr. was
charged towards the releif of the Poor & Scavengers
Rates of the said parish much more than he ought
to pay, And that therefore he thought himselfe aggreived
by the said Rates, and appealed against the same,
And whereas by an Order made by the said Court
on the said nineteenth day of October last the hearing
& determining the matter of the said appeale was
adjourned untill this present General Quarter
Sessions of the peacetakeholden for this County,
Now upon hearing of what was alledged byCouncell
for the said [..] Appellant and
alsoe by Councell for the Overseers of the poor of the
said Parishthe said Appellant & his Councell
against the said Rates and alsoe by the Overseers
of the poor & Scavengers of the said parish in
Unidicacon of the aforesaid Rates, And upon some
debate had touching the same, It is Ordered by
this Court that the benefit of the said appeale be
saved unto the said Appellant, And that the
hearing & determining thereof be and the same
is hereby adjourned untill the next General Quarter
Sessions of the peace to be holden for this County
