WHEREAS it appeareth unto us, two of his Majesty's Justices of
the Peace for the saidCountyofMiddx(Quor' Unus) by the
Complaint of the Churchwarden and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish Christ Church in Spittlefeilds in the saidCountythat
Elizabeth Forward< no role > an Infant hath
lately come, an [..] truded into the saidParish of christ Church in Spittle
feilds aforesaidEndeavouring to gain a Settlement there contrary to Law
andis likelybecome a great Charge to the saidParish
which we adjudge to be true, and Whereas,upon the Examination of Thomas
Forward
< no role > take before us upon Oath
it appears unto us, That [..] Joseph Forward< no role > the Father of the said
Elizabeth Forward waslast legally Settled in the saidOld
[..] Artillery ground and thathe the said
Joseph Forward< no role > hath notsince gained any legal Settlement
elsewhere: Therefore, We the said Justices, upon the Proof aforesaid, and other
Circumstances to Adjudge and Deem the Place of last legal Settlement
of the saidJoseph Forward< no role >
to be in the saidOld Artillery Ground Middx aforesaid
and whither by Lawhis [..] said Child Elizabeth Forward
ought to be set,

THESE are therefore, in his Majesty's Names Strictly to Charge and
Comman you the said Churchwarden and Overseers of the Poor
of the saidParish of Christ Church Spittlefeilds or either of you,
forthwith to remove and convey the saidElizabeth Forward< no role >
from and out of your saidParishofChrist Church in and
to the saidOld Artillery Ground
and deliverher(together with this Precept) to the Churchwarden and
Overseers of the Poor, there or some, or one of them, who are hereby
required to receive and provide forheraccording to Law. Given
under our Hands and Seals, theTwenty thirdDay ofJanuaryin the
fourthYear of the Regin of our SovereignLord George the seerad
