for the County of Middx assembled in their Genll. Quarter
Sessions

The humble Peticon of Richd Darling< no role > of
Ripley in the County of Surrey Malster

Sheweth


That on or about the 29th Day of August last past your
Peticoner Freighted in a Barge of William Wells< no role > of Sunbury
thirty Quarter of Malt from Ripley in the County of Surrey
in order to be conveyed to London that in its passage from
Ripley to London the sd Barge was unfortunately sunk
in the sd River Thames in the County of Middx near Westmr & all the sd Malt spoilt.

That your Petr hath pd the Duties of the sd
Malt amounting to Six Pounds

And hath also given Notice to the Collector of
the sd Duties that he wou'd apply to this Court
this Prsent Quarter Sessions for an allowance
for the sd Damage & Loss

Yor Petr therefore humbly prays such
an allowance in respect of such Damage
& Loss as to your Worps shall seem meet

And yor Petr shall pray Etc
