Petr Freighted in a Barge of
William Wells< no role >
of Sunbury
from
west Horsley
in the County of Surrey
ten Quarter of
Malt in Order to be conveyed to London
that in its passage the sd Middx
Barge was Unfortunately sunk in the
River Thames
in the County near Westmr
& all the
sd Malt spoilt.
That your Petr hath paid the Duties for
the sd Malt amounting to forty Shillings
And hath also Given notice to the Collector
of the sd Duties that he wou'd apply to
this Court this Prsent Quarter Sessions for
an Allowance for the sd Damage & Loss
Yor Petr therefore humbly prays
such an allowance in respect of such
Damage & Loss as to your Worps shall
seem meet
And yor Petr shall pray Etc.
