Upon applicacon made unto this Court by Thomas Thayer< no role >
Esqr . informing this Court that he was with severall
others Inhitants of the parish of St. Andrew Holborne
above barrs in this County nominated to serve as an
Overseer of the poor of the said parish for this present
yeare one thousand seven hundred twenty three
And that by vertue of his Employmt. under his Maties
and alsoe of his being a Justice of the peace of this
County he conceives himselfe exempt from serveing the sd.
Office of Overseer of the poor And he therefore prayed
to be discharged from, serveing the same. This Court
being satisfyed of the truth of the premisses Is of opinion
And doth accordingly order that the sd. Thomas Thayer< no role >
be and he is hereby absolutely excused & discharged
from serveing the Office of Overseer of the poor of
the said Parish
