Whereas Complaint hath beene made unto us whose hands
& seals are hereunto sett two of his Matys Jsutices of the peace
for the said County of Middx (Quo [..] r unus) by the Churchwardens
& Overseers of the poor of the said parish of Enfields, That
one John < no role >
a Bastard Child aged about Two years and that
Robert Ennis< no role >
Dr in phisick
is father thereof which was
Borne in the parish of Alhallows in London Wall
aforesd is letely come into
the said parish of Enfield
endearvouring to settle himself
there contrary to Law, and is likely to be chargeable thereunto
all which the said Justices do find & adjudge to be true, and
where as it further appeareth unto or the said Justices upon
Oath of Jane Taylour< no role >
that the legall Settlemt of the aforesd
Child called John < no role >
was in the parish of alhallows on London Wall
aforesd
being borne there, and that he hath not any other legall
Settlemt. elsewhere, we the sd Justices do the fore adjudg the sd
parish of Ashallows on London wall
to be the place of the last legall settlemt
of the said John < no role >
the Child & that he ought to be sent thither
There are therefore in his Maties name to charge & Comand
yor forthwith to remove & couvey the aforesd John < no role >
the Bastard
Child from the aforesaid Pish of Enfield
to the aforesaid
parish of alhalows on London Wall
and deliver him (together with this
Precept) to the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poore there
or to some or one of them who are hereby required to receive
& provide for him as by Law they ought Given under our hands
& Seales 22 day of June 1723
