ss. Whereas Complaint hath been made unto us whole Hands and
Seals are hereunto set, two of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace
for theCountyofMiddx(Quorum Unus) by the
Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish ofSt. Clemt
Danesaforesaid, ThatWilliam Clincott< no role > & Elizabeth< no role >
[..] wife with their two Children (to ceit) Anne< no role > Aged
about Nine Years & Mary< no role > aged about Nine
Months arelately come into the said Parish
ofSt. Clemt-Danesendeavouring to Settlethemselvesthere as
theirInhabitants andarelike to be Chargeable thereunto, and
havenothavingbrought any Certificate, nor given Notice in
Writing, nor gained any Legal Settlement therein, pursuant and accord
ing to the several Acts of Parliament in that behalf made: And Whereas
upon the Examination of the saidWm. Clincott< no role > upon Oath
we do adjudge the Premises to be true, and that the said Parish of
St Anneis the Place wherein the saidWm..
Clincott waslast Legally Settled: These are therefore, in
His Majesty's Name, to Command you the Church-wardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the Parish ofSt. Clemt Daneforthwith to Remove
the saidWm. Clincott< no role > & Mary his wife & their said
two Childrenfrom the Parish ofSt. Clemt. Danes
to the Parish ofSt. Anne aforesaid, (which we
do hereby adjudge to be the Place oftheirlast Legal Settlement)
and deliverthemto the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor
there, or to some or one of them, (together with this Precept, or a true
Copy hereof) who are hereby required to receive and provide forthem
astheirSettled Inhabitantsthere, untiltheyshall be discharged
according to Law.

Then under our Hands and Seals, thethirtyeth
Day ofNovemberAnno Dom' 1722
