arreares of the sd Severall rates, but the sd Justices
have all excused themselves from makeing any
warrts. to distrain for the same, most of the psons
who have not pd their Pporton of the pd rates
being Noblemen & men of great quality & intert:
And that the Petrs. are unwilling to advance the
poors rate for the present ye. when there is soe
great a Sume in arreare of the sd Severall rates
in the sd Yrs. [..] 1707 1708: 1709 & 1710, And if the Petrs.
should make a rate of 2s 6d in the pod. it would
harely enable them to discharge the duty of their
Office by paying the poor as they ought & are
willing to doe, It was therefore prayed by the
Petrs. that this Cort would take the nre into consideracon
& recomend it to some of the Gentlemen in the
Comicon of the peace of that parish or Division,
Or to give Such releife to the Petrs. as this Cort
should think reasonable, Whereupon It is
