John Wells< no role > of St. Catherines in the County of Middlx Carmun
being Sworne & Examined Saith that about two Months
agoe Emanuell Peacock< no role > & Thomas Hood< no role > two Labourers . in
ordinary to her Maties Office of Ordinance came to
this Depont. att the Carter Stable upon Tower wharfe &
then & there brought to this Depont. Severall peices of
old Iron [..] & ask'd this Depont. if he could tell them
where they might Sell the same & this Depont. told them
he thought John Ward< no role > a Smith in St Catherines aforesd
would buy the same & accordingly this Depont. went to
said Ward & bought him to the said Stables who offer'd
then 9s. P hundred for the same whereupon this
Depont. togeather with the said Peacock & Hood &
Ward went to the said Wards House & having Weighed
the said Pcell of Iron (wth. weigh'd one hundred &
fourteen pound Weight) he the said Ward payd
10s. for the same where of the sd Peacock had 3s. the sd
Hood 3s. more this Depont 3s. more & the remaining
Shilling was SpentAnd this Depont. further
Saith that some short time after the aforesaid Emanuell
Peacock
< no role > came again to this Depont. & told him that he
had put some peices of old Iron into a baskett & lost the
basket in Pauls Craine & had left the back doore of
