Chairman taken upon Oath before me Robt. Perryman< no role >
one of her Maties: Justice of the Peace for the sd County
or Liberty [..] on friday the 14th. day of
October 1709

This Examt. saith that on Saturday the Eighth day of October 1709
he this Examt. having sett down his Chair at his own Door in
King street in ye Parish of St. James Westmr in the County of Middx and
take it into his sd. house as usual that Evening, and that on Sunday
morning following going to use his Chair he this Examt. Missed a
a red flowered velvet Cushion or Seat and that one Elizabeth Cross< no role >
being Apprehend for stealing several Cushions or Seats Confessed that
that the Cart Cushion or Seat that she had stolen was out of a Chair
Standing at a Door in Kingstreet St. James and that upon the sd.
Crossr. having made this Confession, one John Elcocke< no role > a Chairman
sent word to this Examt. who was then in Bed: that thesd. Cross had
owned the Stealing of but this Examtt. Cushion or Seat and that upon
this Examts. Coming to the sd. Cross she went along wth. this Examt. to
to one Mary Cole< no role > a Pawn broker in Cross Lane in the Parish of St. Martin
in the fields where she thesd. Cross had pawned this Examts: Cushion or
Seat. which the sd. Mary Cole< no role > produced. and which the sd. Cross
Confessed to have Stolen out of a Chair in Kingstreet st. James and which
this Examt. Saith is the same Cushion or Seat which he this Examt.
sent out of his sd. Chair as aforesd. and further Saith not
