Who Sayth he is acquainted with one Richard Hargus< no role >
and had his first acquaintance with him in the Citty
of Hereford abt Three yeares since, where the said
Hargus was then a servt. to one Mr. Poole. Confesses
that he was once at a Celler over against sumerset
house in the strand about June last past abt. Noone
wch was kept by one Stephens, where was present
the said Richard Hargus< no role > , & one Gibson, & Two or
three persons more, whose names this Examint. doth
not know, Confesses alsoe that at the same time.
there was abt. Eight or Nine shillings divided between
the said Hargus, Gibson & other the persons unknowne
to this Informt. as aforesd, in his this informts. presence, but denyes
that hee had any part thereof, & knows not upon
what amount it was divided Denyes alsoe that he
was ever [..] in any Robbery on the Highway with
the said persons or any of them or any other person
or persons whatsoever, And that he was never in the
Company of any of the said persons but at that time
(to the best of his Knowledge) except the Company
of the said Richard Hargus< no role > who is his old acquaintance
and that he never knew the said Hargus or Gibson
were ever reputed to be Highway men or ill livers.
