The Examination and Confession of Samuell

Din 1698.

Who being duely Examined Saith, that on Satterday last
he was in the Shopp of Mr. George Abbott< no role > in King Streete
Covent Garden about the hosue of four of the Clocke in
the afternoone, where it is alleadged, and the is accused for
Stealeing aparrell of Cloth [..] out of the shopp of the said Jno.
Abbott
< no role > and doth further acknowledge that the said Cloth
with which he is accused was found in ye Roome in which
hee was Seiz'd at the Thistle and Crowne in Henriett Streete
in the parish aforesaid but Saith that hee saw another man
fling the said Cloth downe in the said Roome but who that
other man is hee doth not know.
