June 1799.

at the Green Park Saint James's was Compleated
Materials Fixing and Lead at 5d. Pr.. lb. It is therefore
the Unanimous Opinion of Your Committee that the
said Accounts so produced by the said Richard Berry< no role >
are grossly falacious and made to Impose upon and
deceive the County and that as the Account is Drawn
out by the said Berry in several Instances works are
Charged 100. Per. Cent more than they ought to have
been or would be Charged by a regular fair Tradesman

And It is Also the Unanimous Opinion of
Your Committee that the Smiths Work carried on as
it is at present in the House of Correction is injurious
to the County and ought to be Discontinued.

And Your said Committee further Report
That they have proceeded to take into Consideration
the Order for Enquiring into the Deviations and
Alterations made in the House now building for
the Governor of the New House of Correction but from
the incorrect manner in which the Accounts of the
Prison are kept and the want of a proper Person
to be responsible for the Work as it has gone on Your
Committee have not yet Compleated their Enquires
respecting the same.

All which the Committee Submit Etc.

and Confirmed.

By adjournment same Day.

The following Report of the Committee appointed
to Examine and Audit from time to time the Account
or Accounts of the Treasurer of this County as well with
respect to his Receipts as his Expenditures and Also to
Examine and Audit all Demands of what nature or kind
soever made on this County previous to the payment
thereof being laid before the Court and Read as follows
