May 1799.

for taking illegal Insurances and I repaid him at the
Expiration of Four Months these are all the sums of
Money which I ever borrowed from the Prisoners.

And Your said Committee further Report
That it appearing that the Rules Orders and Regulations
for the Management of the New House of Correction were
not hung up in the Prison as directed by Act of Parliament
Your Committee Ordered That a Fair Copy of the said
Rules should be immediately made and hung up in
some Conspicuous part of the Prison that the same may
be Read by all the Prisoners.

Your Committee also Report That they have ap-
pointed their future Meetings to be held in the House of
Correction on every Wednesday before the Session and on
every Wednesday immediately after each Session of the
peace to be holden for this County and directed their
Clerk to prepare a Calendar of such Meetings.

All which the Committee Submit Etc.

Resolved That the said Report be received and that
the Regulations recommended therein by the said Com-
mittee be adopted and that the Keeper be served with a Copy
of the said Directions for his future Government.

Resolved That it be Recommended to the Prison
Committee to take into Consideration the propriety of
Discontinuing in future the Smiths work in the said
House of Correction .

By adjournment same Day.

Ordered That the Commissioners of the Turnpike
Trusts on each side of Baber Bridge on Hounslow Heath
be Applied to for their respective proportions of the
Expence of building the same according to their Agreement.
