Examinations of Witnesses taken the 12th. day of
August 1798. at the House of Correction Cold Bath
fields in the Parish of Saint James Clerkenwell
on View of the body of William Ryan< no role > .

William Treadway< no role > a Prisoner and an
attendant on the Sick Ward Sworn.

I knew the Deceased he was a Prisoner in
the above Prison had been so about a Year and a
half was Confined for a Riot at Cow Cross he has been
in a Consumption for the last Six Months been Confined
to the Sick Ward for about 4 Months the Apothecary
has attended him he has had every thing necessary
for a Person in that Situation, he Died on Friday Night
last about 20. Minutes after Eleven, I am certain no
Person used him ill or beat him and that he Died a
natural Death by the Visitation of God.

Depositions of Witnesses taken the First day of
October in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven
hundred and Ninety eight At the House of Correction
Cold Bath fields in the Parish of Saint James Clerkenwell
in the County of Middlesex on view of the Body of Charles
Rowe.

William Treadway< no role > One of the Nurses belonging
to the New House of Correction Prison in the County of
Middlesex being Sworn and Examined upon his Oath
saith That the Deceased had been a Prisoner in the said
Prison about Seventeen Months previous to his Death he
being sentenced to two years Imprisonment for some
