of their utter unbelief of the Scriptures have been so
frequent and unequivocal as to induce him to recommend
it to the Governor no longer to require them to attend
at the Chapel

The Governor Reported That Messrs.. Redman
and Co. had delivered 50. Chaldrons of best Coals at
45sh. Per Chaldron< no role > .

The Surgeon having Reported the state of
Turpin Bastick< no role > 's health to be in extreme Danger and
that it is absolutely necessary that he should be immy. [..]
Discharged which was further Confirmed by the Examination
and Appearance of the Prisoner and it appearing that the
said Bastick has been detained for want of Sureties
Two Months beyond the Expiration of his Sentence
Resolved. That the said Turpin Bastick< no role > be Discharged
and that a Representation be made of his Situation
to Messrs.. Barroneau and Dury trusting they will be
pleased to accept this Apology from the Committee
for departing from a literal Compliance with the last
part of the Order of Court

The Surgeon also Reported That since the last
Meeting of the Committee William Ryan< no role > above
mentioned as in a Consumption Died in a very
penitent state It appeared to the Committee that
the behaviour of a Prisoner named Treadway
towards Ryan and several other Prisoners has been
so uniformly Good, as to render him worthy of the
Compassion and Recommendation of the Court

There appeared Six Prisoners on the List and about
45. other Prisoners either Labourers in the building and
the Workshops or Old and Infirm Persons for whom
the Surgeon judged it necessary to Order some Extra food
and a Quantity of Porter not exceeding one Pint for
each in a Day. -
