September 1798.

By adjournment same Day

Resolved That it be recommended to the Prison Committee
to inspect the New House building for the Governor of the House of
Correction and to Report to the Court what Alterations have
been made therein from the Plan approved of by the Court
and also the probable amount thereof and by whose Order
the same has been done.

Resolved That the said Committee be empowered
to make Application to the Lords of the Treasury for a
proper Remuneration to the Governor Chaplain and
Surgeon for the Additional Duty imposed upon them by
the Mutineers and State Prisoners being Confined in the
House of Correction in Cold Bath fields .

By adjournment same Day.

It being suggested to the Court that the Butchers
Meat furnished to the House of Correction might be
supplied by Contract on more Advantageous terms
than the present - Resolved That the said Committee
do prepare an Advertisement for Contracts for supplying
the Prisoners with Butchers Meat and that the Proposals
be laid before the Court on the County Day of the next
Session.

The following Letter from Messrs.. Rhodes Cook< no role > and
Handley being laid before the Court and Read Vizt.

"There being a vacant piece of Ground situate on
"the North side of the building called the Quakers Old
