Mr William saxon attended the Court and stated that he
was at that time churchwarden of the Parish of Brentford
the
Duties of which Office employed a considerable portion of his time
and therefore prayed to be excused taking upon him the Office of
High Constable
, which excuse being admitted by the Court It is
Ordered that Joseph Wilkins< no role >
another Person recommended by the
Magistrates acting in the Hundred of Elthorne
to the Sessions as a
proper person to serve the Office of High Constable be appointed and
that he do take upon himself the said Office and that the Clerk of
the peace do issue an Order for his attendance on Monday next
the 21st. Instant for that purpose.
