And then a Motion was made that the persons offering
themselves as Candidates for the said Office be called in and the same
being agreed to and the Candidates being called and Mr Joseph
Burchell
< no role > and Mr Daniel Hinley< no role > being the only persons that
appeared before the Court to offer themselves as Candidates the
above resolutions were read unto them and they having severally
agreed to accept the office under and Subject to these Conditions
they were ordered to withdraw and being with drawn.

A Motion was made that the Court do now proceed
by Ballot to an Election of a Treasurer which being agreed to,
His Mejestys Justices of the peace now proceeded to Ballot
and the Ballot continuing till the hour of three and being then
closed upon examination of the Ballot It appeared that 85 of,
His Majestys Justices of the peace for this County had Voted of
which Number there appeared for Mr Joseph Burchell< no role > 54 for Mr.
Daniel Hinley< no role > 31. Whereupon a Motion was made that Mr Joseph
Burchell is duly clected and the same being agreed to. It is resolved
that Mr Joseph Burchell< no role > is duly elected Treasurer of this County
and also Treasurer and Receiver of the Rents of the Lands and
Tenements the Estate belonging to this County

A Motion was made that Mr Burchell be called in
and acquainted with his Election which being agreed to Mr Burchell
was called in accordingly and the Chairman informed him of his
Election. When Mr Burchell proposed as Sureties for him

Sir James Esdaile< no role > Knt . of Bunhill Row
and
Roger Griffin< no role > of Islington Road Esqr .
to become bound in One thousand pounds each who were
unanimously approved of and their Security ordered to be
taken accordingly
