A Motion was made that it be referred to a
Committee to examine and adjust the accounts of the Executors or
Legal representative of Charles Eyles< no role > Esquire deceased relative to
all Sum and Sums of Money received or paid by him during the time he
acted as Treasurer and Receiver of this County and that the same Committee
appointed to take and examine the account of the Executor or Legal
representative of Mr John Benson< no role > deceased be a Committee to examine
and adjust Mr. Eyles's account and the said Committee are desired to
make their report of the matters aforesaid on the County day of the next
Session

By adjournment same day

Mr. Chairman informed the Court that since the last Session he
had been applied to by Mr Blackburn of Blackman Street
who had requested leave to explain to him a Transaction relative to a
plan for a new House of Correction laid before his Majestys Justices of
the Peace by a Mr. Aaron Hurst< no role > (in consequence of advertisements for
that purpose and which had been adjudged the best Plan and a Premium
of 30 Guineas ordered to the said Mr Hurst accordingly). And Mr.
Chairman further informed the Court that he had referred the said
Mr Blackburn to the Sessions respecting the said Maller and that he
was then attending and prayed to be admitted to explain to the Court
in what manner the plan deliver'd in by Mr Hurst had been obtained

It was Moved and Seconded that Mr
Blackburn be called into give an account of Mr Hursts Plan and of the
manner in which it was obtained by Mr Hurst which being carried
in the Affirmative

He was called in accordingly and having withdrawn
with the Clerk of the Peace and having accurately examined Mr Hursts
Plan and being returned and declaring that that Plan was pirated
from his the said Mr Blackburns Original designs on the same
Subjects.
