By Adjournment Thursday 13th Janry 1780
The Subsequent report from the Committee of his Majestys Justices of the
peace
for this County appointed to consider the Extraordinary expences
brought upon this County through the apprehension of Vagrants and to
consult upon proper means to prevent the same in future which report
could not be received at the last Session for want of a sufficient number
of Justices being present to proceed on public Business according to the
standing order in that Case being now laid before the Court and the same
being read as follows Vizt.

for the County of Middlesex

General Session of the peace to be holden in the month of December 1779
assembled
The Report of the Committee appointed to
Consider the Extraordinary Expences lately brought
upon this County through the apprehension of Vagrants
and to Consult upon proper means to prevent the same
in future
The said Committee Report
That having taken into Consideration the order of
reference to them made Vizt. To Consider the Extraordinary Expences
lately brought upon this County through the apprehension of Vagrants
and to Consult upon proper means to prevent the same in future The
Committee proceeded to Examine the accounts of the Treasurer and the
Vouchers for the same by which it appears that since the second
day of April last (the time to which his accounts were made up
audited any allowed) to the Sixteenth day of October last the time to
which his accounts from the said Second day of April were likewise
made up audited and allowed to which space of time the Committee
have Confined their Enquires the sum of Eighty Three Pounds
and Six Pence has been paid as rewards for apprehending
Vagrants pursuant to orders of his Majestys Justices of the peace
for the County of Middlesex
and City and Liberty of Westminster
