produced by him that the quantity of Pavement of the Carriage
way which the County ought properly to be at the Expence of
Paving Repairing and maintaining amounts only to 774.
Square Yards or there abouts

The said Committee further

Reporct Upon Conference with the Trustees of the Old district
or Brentford Turnpike it appeared to the Committee that the said
Trustees were of Opinion the Quantity of the pavement of the
Carriage way over the said Bridge which the County ought to be at
the Expence of Paving Repairing and maintaining amounts
to no more than 774 Square Yards or there abouts that they are
willing and have come to a Resolution for that purpose. to
contract with the Justices of the peace for this County for
keeping the said pavement in Repair as also for keeping in
repair the Side walls and Coping Stones the posts and Rails
and foot paths whether of Wood or Stone or both of the Mainbridge
and the additional footbridge for the Term of Twelve Years and
Three Quarters of a Year from Michaelmas next (being to the end
of the Term of their present Turnpike act of Parliament) for the
Sum of Ten pounds Ten Shillings per Annum provided the
County will undertake to oblige the present Contractor to leave
the pavement in good Repair at the End of his Term and also to
put the Timber floor of the foot bridge and all the posts and Rails
belonging both to that and the Mainbridge into good repair
previous to the Commencement of such Contract

Your Committee therefore are of
Opinion that Mr. William Davis< no role > the personal Representative
of Mr. John Wilkins< no role > the Contractor ought forthwith to be made
to Repair the pavement of the said Bridge in a good and
Substantial manner according to the Terms of the Contract
And they are further of Opinion that his Majestys Justices of
the peace for this County ought immediately and Effectually to
Repair
