Resolved that Mr. Eyles be desired to attend the
progress of the Bill when moved for with a view to obtain the
insertion of a Clause therein to relieve the County from the heavy
burthens already thrown upon the Treasury
by the laws now in being
for Substituting the punishment of Offena'ers by hard Labour in the room
of Transportation and that he do from time to time consult with Sir
John

of the Sessions thereupon and take has directions
for his Conduct therein

Brentford Bridge
Situate at Old Brenford
in the parish of Ealing
otherwise zealing in the said County of Middlesex
will Expire at

Justices of the peace residing near the said Bridge now here present
having said that the Commissioners "for repairing the Highways from
Counters Bridge in the County of Middlesex
through Brentford
and
Hounslow to the powder Mills in the road to Staines, and to Cranford Bridge
in the Said County and for Repairing turning or Altering the Highway
leading from the said Road through Son Lane and Isleworth
, to a Gate
on the South Side of Tedington
field; and also the Highway leading act
of the said Great Road near Smallbury Green
Turnpike, to the George
in the Town of Isleworth
aforesaid and for lighting and watering part
of the said Highways" having power so to do were ready to treat with
the Justices for keeping the said pavement in repair It is Ordered
that it be and it is hereby referred to the Committee appointed to Carry into
immediate and Effectual Execution the Repair of New Prison
and
Clerkenwell
Bridwell to treat with the said Commissioners for repairing
maintaining and amending the Pavement of the said Bridge and what
they shall do herein to Report on the County day of the next General Quarter
Session of the peace to be holden for this County and the said Committee
